Naomi Byler has been disappointed in the past, but she has found her place as the cook for the two older sisters who are the owners of The Peony Inn. She knows she will find happiness in her life, but it will not include marriage. One day handsome young man and his mother come to stay at the inn, what she did not expect was to find a friendship with another man so soon. 

Amos Lantz is not very happy about attending a wedding so soon after the tragic loss of his beloved., Sarah a year ago. But his mother has requested for him to go with her to a family wedding, so he has fulfilled his mothers wish. but what he did not expect was to find a kindred spirit in Naomi. 

Their mutual loss of their beloved's and their love of painting has drawn Amos and Naomi close. When the sudden return of Thomas, Naomi's beloved  causes Naomi to rethink her thoughts on marriage. But her friendship with Amos is on the line. Will Naomi choose Thomas or the man who has helped her move past her lost?

 I love reading the creative writing of  Beth Wiseman, she writes books that inspire and give hope to kso many. I would recommend any of her books to anyone who is a lover of  reading.
