Blind Spot

by Dani Pettrey

Chesapeake Valor is back with the newest instalment Blind Spot, FBI agent Declan Grey and Tanner Shaw team up to chase down a threat. This is not what Tanner wants when she joins the FBI as a crisis counselor.  But when the best clue to the investigation leads Declan to an immigrant community. He realizes that Tanner may be more of a help than he realized. Her experience with her work for justice for the refugees and the displaced around the world has prepared her this job.  The more they uncover the deeper they get into danger, creating more tension between the two. Racing against time to save the city they love so dearly, will they be able to find who is causing the danger? Also, will Tanner and Declan realize that they have feelings for each other

Dani Pettrey has written another spine-tingling mystery with a side of romance. She takes a storyline and weaves it into a book that grabs you and will not let you go. I recommend this book to all lovers of mystery and romance.

Beautifully Written!!!

Isaiah's Daughter

by Mesu Andrews

The prophet Isaiah is a well-known prophet that is part of the old testament history. This book draws on the history of Israel during a time of division. Israel in the North has bowed to pagan worship, while in Judah a small remnant of Yahweh's faithful is clinging to the one true God.

In the middle of this war-torn country is a young orphan girl Ishma, who all she has known in her young life is desolation. Her life turns around when she finds a place as a servant in the home of the prophet Isaiah. A  kinship is created between the little servant girl and the young crown prince Hezekiah. As the years pass these two young ones their friendship grows, creating a bond that is forged from the pain in their lives.

As Isaiah watches the relationship between these two young ones mature over the years, he sees what he needs to do in the time ahead of him. He makes a bold move in adopting Ishma making her his daughter. This adoption gives her a royal pedigree and a new name "Hephzibah." She becomes the wife of Hezekiah and the queen of Judah.

Her love for Hezekiah will require more than she has ever dreamed of her life. Fear rules her life as her people faces the terror at the hands of Assyrians. Will her life in the palace lead to the freedom from her past that she has been longing for? Or will Hephzibah be able to place her trust in the Only One who can free her from her fears? The one true God who can free a captive heart and a desperately lost nation.

Mesu Andrews takes the scripture and brings it to life in each of her books. This story based on the prophet Isaiah during the rule of King Ahaz and the terrifying threat of the Assyrian's. It delves into the culture with a story that reaches into your heart and touches you deeply. We all at one point are captive to something in our lives. Maybe it is a fear like Hephzibah had or it could be just not being willing to let go of the control of your life.

If you love reading biblical fiction this book will be for you!!

Shine: Stepping into your role!!

by Allison Allen

We all at some point play a role in our lives, we play a character that is not our true self. We walk into a room and put on a mask that hides our true thoughts. We choose the lines we want to say, but not saying what we truly need to say. By becoming someone else, we tell ourselves it is just another version of who we are. Everyone one of us have done this at some point in our life.

By using fascinating person stories and sharp insight into human nature, former Actress Allison
Allen calls us to drop the act and step up to the role in front of us. No matter what the critics around us say, we can be our real self that God has created. Allison gives us permission to talk about the things we feel, rather than beating around the bush to say what we feel. Freeing us to step out of the shadows we have hid in, allowing us us to step into the light of God's true calling.

This book is for anyone looking to throw of the the role we are playing and follow the true calling that God has for us.

He Calls You Beautiful

"Hearing the Voice of Jesus in the Song Of Songs"

by Dee Brestin

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" a Quote from Song of Solomon. This Quote comes from one of the most misunderstood books of the bible. It seems it gets overlooked by so many in the church. Dee Brestin takes the time to break this book down to help us understand it. God wrote us a love song that shows us how much love He has for us as His children.

I love that she takes the chapter and breaks it down to where we can understand it. It does not matter if we are single, married or widowed, we are all alike in God's eyes. One of His Beloved!!!   This book can be used as an in depth bible study in a group setting or alone. I would recommend this book for all women to read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Blogging For Books and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.*
