We return to Mesquite Springs and find Dorothy Clark filling in for her sister in law while she is away on her honeymoon. Dorothy is ok with running the restaurant,but her deepest desire is to write for a newspaper. So when Brandon Holloway arrives in town to open the towns first newspaper office, she is very intrigued. Finding the opportunity of lifetime right in front of her, Dorothy is ready to offer up her talents as a writer. 

Brandon Holloway has committed to making a new start for himself in Mesquite Springs. That includes not challenging others opinions by using his newspaper. But when he sees the people he has grown to love being hurt by a traveling hustler, Brandon has to make a hard choice to write articles that cause people to think. Working alongside with Dorothy, Brandon works  to find a way to protect their beloved town from the danger that has came to visit. Will they be able to save their town from being hurt and still be able to allow their love for each other to bloom. 

Amanda Cabot writes a very delightful read, she weaves a story that will keep you wanting more. I truly cant wait to see what the third book has in store for people of Mesquite Springs.

 But trouble has also came to town and they do not like the idea of a newpaper being in town.
